Design, development & assembly of the STROBE (Sip-TRiggered Optogenetic Behavior Enclosure) system. The STROBE was created to study the use of optogenetic activation of specific reward or punishment neurons, in order to make flies learn to be more or less attracted to specific food sources.
 
Awarded the Eric Roenitz Memorial Prize for showing "considerable dedication to the capstone project" and "illustrating a high level of ingenuity."
